Well went back yesterday evening with some popping flies and got my personal best lmb, probably in the 2 - 2 1/2 lb range, but a monster is still in there... At least one. I was broken off by a biggie, got a good look when he smashed, rolled and then broke me off.

I do know about live bait, know a guy who used his cast net together some sunnies, liveliness and then got a 10lber not too far from here ( a relative of mine ) in a pond you'd swear had nothing in it.

still haven't found carp, but this little pond is fun for bass. though last night I couldn't buy a hit on flies but plastic worms dragged slowly were another story

I decided I wanted to try carping so I've started prebaiting a local spot on the Passaic. I'll report back when I actually start fishing it. Hopefully the Mosquitos don't suck the life out of me by then
