Dave, I think they changed the key every year. Let me know when you want to go and I will meet you at the Gate #1.

I fish all over around here, most days after work I'm out there. I live in Oradell and the reservoir has good fish in it, it's just big water. Some good stripers up there too. I have hit damn near every bit of water up here lately (including where I shouldn't be) and there's just not really any fish around better than 3 lbs. Anxiously waiting for fall.

Have you landed any Hybrid Stripers there recently? My girlfriend lives in Dumont not too far from there and have been waiting for some Hybrid reports before I dish out the cash for the permit.

I saw them one day earlier this year taking baits off the surface but I was on the wrong point and didn't have time to walk around. They are there, try topwaters in the last 2 hours of light or so...you need something you can get good casting distance out of too...just walk till you see them, it used to be really consistent but haven't put much time in there lately, been too distracted.

I've been ripping up the reservoir lately. The hot spots have been solid and I live 2 minutes from a spot you can fish day or night. I've been doing best at night.

haha, agreed! I grew up fishing the ponds in Tammy Brook and Montammy country clubs in Cresskill that are now all developed.

I work pretty closely with the United Water people and i was told they haven't stocked Hybrids in probably 10+ years by now. If there are any old dogs still swimming around in there, they gotta be in wheelchairs by now...

Good info, thanks. Imagine catching a Hybrid in a wheelchair though? EPIC!
