wow, crazy stuff. 2 things i never mess with when planning to get out on the water - stray thunderstorms and patchy fog. last trip i went for with "patchy fog" turned out to be pea soup. not fun in a smaller boat with no radar!

Was offshore on The Gambler 8 or 10 years ago. A strong electrical storm came up on us. First time I ever saw a waterspout. It's VERY humbling when the lightning is crashing 360 degrees around you and your the highest conductor for miles around...

Buy a rubber mat, and wear rubber sole shoes. Not 100% insurance, but good percentage of protection.

Example of rubber to insulate from Electric. From mat and rubber sole. Not 100% but best I've found.
