It looked like the remains of a rabbit and a squirrel in the nest too.

The eaglets are the size of large chickens now.

The chicks have been eating well and are able to be left in the nest without a parent sitting on them constantly. In one of the pictures you can see a rabbit. In another, there is a crappie and a couple of suckers. I think I saw a bass on another day.

I'm hoping for something more novel. Last year, there was a cat's head in a more southern US nest. Recently, someone posted a photo of a B. Eagle with a slice of pepperoni pizza in its talons that it snatched from a parking lot.
