Default Re: Jamaican Princess Weekend Wrap-up

I was trying not to name the boat, but now that it’s out ok. When I noticed that Ken was coming on scene I did call him on the radio ch 65 to be exact! I explained to him exactly what my intentions were to drift a couple of times, which if any of you were out Sunday morning there was no drift. I explained I was trying to locate the body of fish which I knew was there because the day before was drop and reel. I told him I was going to anchor there, his response was go ahead and he kept pulling in over the wreck where I was and from my stand point pushing me off. At one point he was 20’ off my port side, a little close after being told twice my intentions. In order for me to anchor I had to make at least one drift over the spot, that was almost impossible! I finally decided to just drop the anchor to try to get him to just go away, which after five minutes, after I was anchored, he did. So for those who are thinking this was cut and dry, just the opposite. I agree that if someone is drifting then yea if there is room and you don’t hinder the first person there, go ahead, just my opinion. Capt I still believe your a top captain in the area and I am sure you don’t remember but we worked the bluefin grounds one day awhile back and actually worked together to find the fish. Not trying to start s,,t but I guess I do things differently!
