blk drum is without a doubt some good eatten fish, catch em all the time down this way. the cows range from 40-80 pounds most just take a pic and release since they are the breeders. and can at times have worms in em. But the best eatten size i normaly keep to eat is the 3-12# range. any unwanted cooked drum also makes good left overs to make drum/crab cakes, and freeze very well for down the road dinners.

Me too, came out pretty good. Thanks. The meat from the smaller Drum looked a whole lot better than the meat from the big fish 3 years ago.

Ah, but had you held on to your rod, instead of setting it in a rod holder the second fish might have been yours. I think it was nice of the dad's to let the boys catch the big fish. Well done Captain.

ANdy wants me to book next year. I sent Capt. John an email asking him to pencil me in for June 11.
