Slow Pitch fishing tips needed

Your Penn Squall 30 is a bit overkill for inshore, it's a little on the heavy and tall side to be working the jig all day and a lower profile, lighter reel balances better on the rod and causes less fatigue but you can certainly get away with it.

Most of the slow pitched metal jigs are weighted in the center which is what causes them to flutter when dropped and they are best worked straight up and down as opposed to casting the out.

The ones that would work best for stripers is our area are peanut and adult bunker imitations and sand eels, depending on what bait is around. When sand eels are around the Stripers seem to petty much feed on them exclusively and won't hit practically anything that doesn't look like one.

Hogy makes a sand eel jig as do others and for bunker imitations, try flutter spoons.
