Default Blackfishing Friday and Sunday

Blackfish Friday and Sunday. Friday I was solo and I pissed around a little bit trying to pick up some stripers, but then I decided to blackfish. Fished some shallower water without any luck. Move to a wreck about 60 feet at about 230 and I had to go to work to get my limit and come back in the dark but I finally found a spot where they were chewing. Sunday I took my brother for his once a year trip and made three drops with life on all of them. The conditions were OK in the morning and then they went to shit. Had to work at it and fight the conditions to catch the fish. Got my limit, and my brother had about two since he still trying to learn how to hook these fish. Either way I kicked all my fish down to him so he will have some food over the winter.

Also, I broke off on what was most likely about a 10 pounder or a possible double digit. That’s what happens when you’re fishing and you don’t take the time to check your leader regularly or change it as it gets abraded scraping the bottom.
