Rainbows with a side of STRIPES!!!
Started out the catch and release trout season and followed through fishing a numerous spots in central nj Just up to the night before opening day. The fishing was great! For me i found out everything you threw they wanted... it’s a good thing I got a key to the bait shop I was there quite a few times. Lost a good one like 4lbs into a tree and one other but most of these fish were 9-11 inches.
I met up with eddie and a few of the boyz for a morning shot of single barrel to honor our friend Franky and took a couple casts and hit the road. I know all this going on this year is just not the same and a lot of people didn’t get out to enjoy opening day but for those that did I hope you caught some fish. After all the trout madness and the bite going on in the bay I needed a change of pace! Yes I have the big boat but it’s no fun it’s like fishing on a dock! Loaded up the mamba looked at the wind and set sailed. Ended up with a bunch of stripers in just a couple hours of fishing. My dinner was so delicious I went back a second time with reinforcements Eddie Reddi Rob and Yuri. Mostly all freshwater guys... we ran out bright and early got into a bunch of fish each and got outta there before the wind kicked up. I was trolling the mojos but the other guys did well with umbrella rigs and stretches also. A lot of fun with the little boats and brought back some old memories and good times in the salt. That boats perfectly capable to run around the bay and down to like Long Branch. Just watch the wind and the waves! And make sure you have gas. Look at all dem fishhhhhh! Great catching hillbilly brother!!!

thought that one was only a sweetwater vessel. looks like you did well this holiday weekend nice fish all around mikey well done.
