![]() Well, realistically finding one pair of pliers for everything is impossible. But there are a few options. First off, the boomerang “cutters” are unmatched for cutting braided line and mono. Now for cutting hooks the “Manley super pliers” are essential. As far as offshore split ring pliers I find the cheap ones to be the best, reason being you’re offshore stuff happens fast and you’re gonna drop them. Just my opinion.

![]() For cheap and good the ProFishco pliers at $15 are outstanding. They are stainless steel and will not bend or twist when removing hooks from marlin or swordfish. They cut braid and mono and have a hook sharpener integral to them.
