Thanks. Same result at helm and engine.
The difference between this video and others I watched than with my situation is that there is no noise when the tilt does not work. On mine, there is noise just as if the engine was going up/down just that it doesn't. |

I had that issue, first time on the trailer, put a ratchet strap around the lower unit and applied some pressure, hit switch.. Nothing... More pressure applied... And hit switch again... Bingo, the piston was probably topped out and air bound... Can't say for sure but it worked good for the season after just made sure the "easy to reach!" Reservoir was topped off , next time was a more unorthodox method in the slip, beers were involved and a great volunteer who stood on the unit and jumped, rocked up and down... Bingo again... There is a set screw on most motors to allow you to relieve the pressure and let it down, but unfortunately all the monster garage guys and I couldn't get it to loosen no matter what, don't ask- we tried everything... Trust me! Good luck!
Let us know how you make out. |
