Go with anything but Van Staal's
Had a pair had to cut a bluefish hook out of a guy and the cutter blade broke. Refused to warranty the blades..  Bull S**t $300.00 for a set and your won't do whats right. Never buy another product from them EVER. Calcutta's are one of the best bag for the buck

Thank you gents for all the replies. I just got a message from a dear friend who must have also read this post. He tells me not to buy a new pliers but i should watch the mailbox! I'm blessed to have met some great friends through this sport and am thankful for them everyday. For every JERK I find on a fishing boat, there are 100 great friends whom I look forward to being around again.
