9.9 mercury

i get mine at walmart . and use the mercury oil .no sense to me to pay the markup the boat shops put on this stuff

I have a 4 stroke Mercury 25hp. It uses 1.4 quarts in the crankcase. What's 9.9hp use? A quart?

We are talking less than $10 of oil a year. Are we over analyzing this stuff a bit?
