That sounds like a very specific and fine tuned method you got for catching them deep with flies, nice!

Hi Crisper, I am hoping you can provide more information on the flies you use. Maybe a picture or where we can get them. Just FYI, I caught a nice smallmouth bass out of the thermocline last week trolling a spoon on lead core. It is not uncommon for me to catch the bass in the "cline", I think the bass are chasing the herring.

i tie the flies myself, a friend showed me. I know i've posted pics of them before but idk where. i'll take another pic or something
