Thx Howard. Going to give that a shot one day.
Heading up to LG in a few weeks. Plan on doing some lake pond river and stream fishing for trout and such.
Lets see if I can get some intel on that spiney water flea we spoke about.

Dave: U asked earlier about depths at waywayand, Forgot to mention this lake is a mini 2 basin lake similar to Lake George, Both basins have major deep holes probably bout 70 to 80 feet deep..Good depth for trout and herring but overall lake in on the small size, no where near LG or RV..But truely wild looking, no cabins or homes on lake also only Elec Motors allowed so really peaceful, and no big wakes to worry about..I'd say the one draw back to this lake is that it has been really pounded over the years..However i think that has changed some, and this type of water body will come back real fast..just my 2 cents worth..Good luck in you trip...

Saw them come up and blast herring at the surface--during summer. Herring seem to sense safety up above the depths. Magic hour, the salmon shoot up from the depths they stay in, gorge, and dive back. I saw two guys in a canoe witness this once; they paddled over, one of the guys caught one.
