![]() Many of LM I catch lately had similar fresh wound - round shaped - near the tail. What do you make of this? Maybe mating scar? or some sort of disease?

![]() I think you should send an email to F&G along with the pics and the lake location you r fishing at. To me they look like lamprey wounds, you see the same thing on the salmon and similar species on lake ontario, but I have no idea if they could even live in waters down here. But thats the same type of scar/wound I have seen up there

Nice Gloves. ![]() Red, shallow ulcers are a clinical sign of any number of infective agents. For example, Mycobacteriosis can present itself as ulcerative wounds like that.
