I do a fair share of tying and used a inexpensive vise for years. I think i paid $20. for it. Maybe this video will help. There's inexpensive ones out there. Just do a Google search.

Cabela's has a nice verity of inexpensive vises'. i recently got the Cabela's Fly tying Vise master for under $25.00 i used it for larger saltwater bucktails and it holds them great. nice way to pass time, save money and make jigs the exact way you want them.
