Don't think he was a state record lol, but he was pretty solid. Fish hit in about 2ft of water, and fought like it was a Pike.

And the beer was a icey cold Heineken that took me 5 minutes to open with the limited resources on my kayak. Ingenuity suceeded as usual though lol.

Caught what I believe was a white catfish on sunday morning on a little mepps spinner... Small, maybe a foot long, and I had a heck of a time getting all three hooks out of its mouth. Never would have guessed it possible.

catfish on crankbaits and spinners? sounds like there's still chemicals in that water, those fish are trippin!

I caught a Bullhead on a Daredevil once in upstate NY. Catfish never surprise me.

Looks like a bullhead. And a big one at that. Never seen a brown bullhead that big before. Up until just seeing that pic, I had never knew they got that big. Congrats on that catch.

they get pretty big. in last year's skillful angler awards the largest bullhead was 19".
