Thanks Catfishonthelake, I've been checking your blog out. I was over at Echo last night. It looks like upper is closed right now, fence all around it. Lower...trout weren't all that active either. Also, seeing I haven't been in Union County all that long maybe you could direct me to a few decent fishing spots, I like to travel to fish on the weekends but I love throwing a line in at night after work and don't want to travel all that far.

That fence doesn't go around the whole lake. If you walk down to the water, it stops and there's plenty of shore access. If you continue past the Pavillion on your right and walk on the grass all the way to the end, there's more openings down there as well. Also, the paddle boats are in the water and they're prob renting them soon if not already. I think it costs $10 for an hour and it's well worth it to be able to fish the opposite side of the lake. Just don't use any Texas rigged worms or cranks because there's some kind of fence on the bottom that you'll snag on every cast. I'll PM you some more info on Union County spots. There's a lot.
