How long can you keep the roe? can it be preserved or stored in any way?

No idea. Never kept it more than two days. I would assume that freezing would destroy it. Asians use salted fish roe but I am not sure if this would work and how to do it.

I freeze roe from large cod and pollock. The main thing is to make sure the membrane is intact and that the roe is rinsed off in clean saltwater and kept on ice during fishing as well as the trip home. Never had an issue.

Thanks you Kirk.

Excellent recipe. Didn't leave one egg on the plate

Used the extra turkey bacon strip to serve as a bed for some cold ling chunks from the other nite. Wow! Am I happy
