![]() Been hiking and fishing with some peeps recently to keep busy. Ice fishing definitely isn’t a thing this year but thankfully there’s always somewhere to explore. Hit a Eastern river for Browns 3 weeks ago. Did a lot of walking and came up with 1 nice Brown on a brisk Saturday morning. It was a beauty too, around 8-9 inches. Mission accomplished!
![]() 2 weeks ago on Sunday I went to a spot I haven’t been to in years. Great hike down the mountains jumping from boulder to boulder. Every hole and pocket held fish but I forgot the super small stuff and wound up landing 4 wild Brookies and a 9 inch wild Brown. The Brown was camera shy so no pic. Oops! Hacklebarney is a gem! ![]() ![]() Yesterday I stayed a little more local as I crawled out of bed kinda late. Took the ride to lower Morris county to search the Passaic river headwaters for the alleged wild Trout that roam these waters. It took some time to find parking and access. Finally figured it out and landed a beauty of a wild Bow! What a gem! Had another fish out of that hole but it came unbuttoned. Moved to another nice spot and found fish, they were of the Brown variety and spit the hook with the quickness. What an awesome couple weeks hiking Wild NJ! Tons of beauty in this little state. TIGHT LINEZ!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()
