Salmon river rookie season

I've been up to salmon river a handful of times, but this was the first time i was going to be targeting salmon in the river on their spawn run. Headed up with some friends from the winfield sport club and my buddy Matt gave me the run down of what to do.

gotta say, the process seemed pretty odd to me at first, but once i accepted it for what it is, it was entertaining, in a novel way.

lost multiple fish but ended up landing a few kings with two of them being pretty large and the biggest one going 23lbs and winning the club contest. The best catch, though, had to be the hefty, fresh, coho that wrapped me around two rocks before we got him to the net finally!

Guess i'll be back next year to defend my title haha.
