River topwater and bay big stripers

Headed out into the river the other day with my buddy Shawn to get in on the striper action... we were met with some pretty stubborn fish that would only hit topwater for us... go figure, i'm not complaining! haha

we had a few hours of really good topwater action with poppers and walking lures and we couldn't get a single hit on plugs or swimbaits. really fun light tackle action on 28-31" class fish with some smaller ones in the mix.

A couple of days after that I headed out with my buddy Joe and his friend Matt to target the bigger stripers out in the bay. We found them pretty quick on the after work hunt and boated some 40" class fish! we'll be back out after the even bigger ones soon!
