Talking RR Bass slam, after work session! 4/13

Hit the river after work yesterday, luckily I got out early because the place was packed by 6 pm. Started off casting the usual plugs and shads and got smacked by a 26 inch Striper right off the bat. Skinny guy but very very green. Jigged a 12 inch super short a couple casts later on a Shad. Switched over to the plug and was twitching it on a seam and a LM inhaled the big saltwater lure. Hungry fish! Things got a little too crazy for me so I moved downstream to hide from the Covid carriers. There were fish surfacing but I wasn’t sure what they were. Kept throwing the plug and got hammered by an 19 inch Smallie. Yes sir! That be a Raritan river Bass slam. Tried for another hour into dark looking for a Walleye but couldn’t find where they were hiding. Maybe next time. The fish are hungry boys! Go get em’!!! TIGHT LINEZ!
