2021 fish

First, much props to the ice fisherman. You guys did really well and I enjoyed the posts.
Second, the recent posts of trout, pike, bass, and pickerel were awesome. Fish are waking up hungry for sure.
2021 fishing is off to a great start for my standards.
I've done scouting trips to trout waters in Hunterdon, Somerset and Morris counties have learned a bunch of new creeks and streams as well as new spots on the South Branch. It paid off and I caught some trout in January and February. Light jigs and the tracdown plug produced results.
First smallmouth of the year was a beast. It fell to the same light jigs I used for the trout.
South Branch of the Raritan has been very kind to say the least.
