![]() As you guys all know there was talk about the Njf boyz comin back to town. Got a few of the guys and headed north this weekend. I rolled up a day early to beat the crowd and do some prospecting. Took the ride once I got up to find a local brown spot and found some fish but they were there but spooky and didn’t have much time to fish before dark. I was able to stick a good big ole domestic rainbow floating a egg sack.
The next day we got up and headed to “ no comment” we saw a fish or two caught and knew they were there! It didn’t take long and we got dialed in quick. Everyone hooked a bunch of steelies but landing them was the problem we were chasing these fish all the way down river and doing whatever it took to get them to the net! Friday was definitely the better day with lighter crowds and more salmon running with the steelies and browns running tight behind them. We tried the brown trout spot one more time and seen plenty of fish but the water dropped and cleared up and they were really spooked but we gave it hell! The rest of the trip we hung in the fast water pickin away at the steelies, and the last day in the afternoon we took a short ride to a nearby crick for a salmon slaughter for a little bit before we hit the road. Got down to the hole and there was all the salmon you could want.we got to work and played for a bit... I snapped the sage on a big ole salmon and was officially the designated netter. Good thing because at the same time Scotty and nick get a double going on and I was able to get em both into the net. Awesome time! Fun trip for sure, I ended up doing the Pulaski plunge not once not twice not three times probably four or maybe five before frying my phone loosing a bunch of pics but I’ll post what I got... Congratulations to my homie nick on landing his first and second steelie! Congratulations to Johnny peppers on landing his biggest brown of his life lol estimates weight 18-20 lbs My man Scotty was dialed In and hooked a few steelies but couldn’t keep these chrome rockets on, we’ll get you one next time pal don’t you worry! And we had a few of our njfers brother that couldn’t make it up this trip we missed ya boyz maybe just maybeeee one more time.......
