Redeemer Sportfishing - Sunday October 4Th, Open Boat Tuna and Giant Wahoo Report
On Sunday after cancelling 3 straight trips in a row we were finally able to fill out a crew. Arrived at 0600 to the overnight fleet. Fleet grew to over a 100 boats. Knew it would be a tough day. Managed to go 1 for 3 on Yellowfins and some skips all on jigs. Also jigged some sand eeels. Bait was thick. With building seas we decided to troll. Hooked up on a crazy eight flat line to a nice wahoo weighing approximately 70 pounds. Headed home by 1pm. Wish we could of fished Saturday during the mega bite but oh well at least the crew got some good eats and I got revenge on the 12 bars lost this season ��.
Open boat tuna next Friday-Sunday, good amount of bait remains in the area so fish will be around for a few more weeks.
