Redeemer Sportfishing - Wednesday September 9th - 5 Star Yellowfin Chunking Report
On Wednesday we took out Jed and friends for another offshore yellowfin chunk and jig trip. Weather was iffy and remained iffy all day but with the great fishing and a solid platform we had to go. Ran out at 25 knots in the slop and arrived by 7am. Bob was first to hook up on jig. Chunking became difficult with rays, skippies and big false albacore....until the jumbo yellowfins arrived. Long story short we were boxed up by 11am. Ride home was better at 30 knots. Several party boats on the scene some came down from Montauk. Get in on the bite now, it’s not going to last. Fish are also moving south. Running open boat next week, see the OB forum for the schedule.
