Headed north to an electric only lake early this morning. Got blown off the Lake about 2 hours into fishing. White caps aren’t good on those, very unhealthy. This was Plan A! Plan B didn’t go well either! Dirty water and wind ended my boat fishing plans for the day.
Plan C. Trout! Checked the Pequest and Musky, they were both pretty dirty and high. Headed south to the SB. It was running perfect so Trout fishing I went. Didn’t see any other anglers on the rivers I passed. Kinda strange if you ask me. Started casting at a few choice spots and started cracking fish after fish on my lucky plug. All Browns! It was mayhem for about 2 hours this afternoon with these little beauties. I can’t believe nobody else was on this stretch, HAHA! The fish were there in good numbers and unfortunately I muffed the big fish of the day with an awkward hook set. Not sure how many fish I ended up with but I can tell you the action was awesome. Get out there guys. The fish are waiting.
I went through 3/4 of a tank of gas today, trailered the boat for approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes road time and wound up fishing a Trout stream. Interesting day to say the least. TIGHT LINEZ!!!
