Default Monger Wednesdays are South Wind days

Got out with Capt Jerry last 2 Wednesdays: Both trips were "blessed" with NJ finest South winds
09/04/19: Actually conditions were pretty good early am and we slammed the shorts with a shot of keepers up north until around 10AM. Took the ride south as the south easterly was starting to rear its ugly head. Got up there and had more shorts and some shots at some nice fish. I had the right bite with the right head shakes and drag pulling thumper only to have it come un-buttoned about 3/4 of the way up. Never saw it but we all knew it would have been good.
Oh well Capt gave me a shot. Had Tom Dakota, his son Ryan and crew along Fin reaper, Two guys rod Mike and some work buddies. Put a decent catch together for the conditions up to around 6lbs

09/11/19:
Can not say enough about how Capt Jerry treats his customers with flat out honesty, integrity and appreciation for your business: Faced this time with a southerly blow SW @ 15 to 20. Capt Jerry texted me as usual the night before and then called to say he had found the life out to the east in 100 ft on Tuesday. He felt given the forecast we wouldn't be able to get there and the inshore grounds were slow so its was our option to save our money and stay home. Never being one to accept the forecast we opted to make an audible at the dock Wed at 6 am in case NOAA got it wrong. Alas NOAA did have it right and it was blowing SW over 10 and would only get worse. Again Capt gave us an out and save our money knowing we wouldn't get to where the fish were and the kind of day up to the standards he expects to deliver to his customers. He also laid out the other options which were to anchor inshore for porgies / blues or try the inshore fluke grounds without getting much. Of course being there at the dock and already having a good time we opted for the inshore fluke grounds.

Again had Tom dakota Smith , Tony Mike D, Joe, Larry Hartattack, Two guys rod, my "other" Larry and the king of blowfish ROCKY on board. Great crew.

Long story short Jerry found some decent life, we ended up with some short life and a bunch of keepers up to Tom's 7 lber. It was Toms day fishing in that washing machine with 5 keepers alone ORL. Had to go up to 12 ounces etc etc and drift was fast.
Monger has my business for life and wish so many didnt know why as I would get more trips LOL. 4th time out with him this year fluking with some better than others but all a great time.

Best line of the day was Tony (self admitted out for fun and doesn't care about the fishing) . About noon maybe with winds 15 to 20 he looks over at Jerry and says "how about you go out and fish and i will drive the boat for a while"
