I meant to make this post way sooner, but between work and trying to squeeze in some fishing, I didn't get to it until now (Sorry Luke!).
Back in early June, The1 and I had made a post asking some questions about floating the Paulinskill River, and we got some very helpful responses from all of you.
We put in at the Paulina Lake Dam and floated down to Brugler Road. The float took longer than expected due to the number of log jams that we had to portage around and the number of fishy holes that we wound up pulling over to fish. Our catches included smallmouth, rock bass, stocked rainbows, sunfish, a walleye, a perch, and a palomino which popped off before we could land it.
Luke and I both agreed that this was a fun float, but between the log jams and low water in some spots, if someone were to try this float, they'd probably be better off in something that's easy to lift like a small, light kayak rather than a canoe.
