you didn't think i was going to stop after that 31 incher did you? Eddie said there might be one or two more 35 inchers left in NJ so i have to find them! haha
Saturday afternoon the weatherman (for once) was right and the wind dropped to almost nothing so squatch and I headed out to jig some lake trout. Started hitting them right away here and there, but they really started biting fantastically for about an hour before the dark clouds really moved in and then it pretty much died almost completely and we couldn't get a bite on anything, but we did our damage already by then for sure!
Most of the fish were really nice size and hefty and full of piss and vinegar to boot! Some of them had the power of at least 7-8 wet towels! haha seriously no clue how these fish got a reputation in NJ for not fighting...they're just as strong as most other similar sized fish and a high 20s inch laker fights a hell of a lot stronger than a high 30s inch muskie haha
