Default April Catches

I haven’t had much time to post and haven’t been having a very good start to the season anyway but I finally accumulated enough pics to warrant a post. Fish below were caught at Lake Wylie a few weeks ago in Charlotte. I Was there on business but booked a cabin on the lake for the 3 days I was there and managed some early morning excursions. Beautiful lake but tough bank fishing. Managed a few bass pictured below.

Next pic is a fish I snagged at a Union County honey hole three weeks ago.

Next up are two decent specimens from beautiful Newark NJ (Branch Brook Park) caught last week.

The following pic is a
Landmark event - my son’s first fish caught entirely without my help! We stopped at lake suprise in watchung reservation on our way home from Overlook Hospital where he met his sister for the first time. When we got to the lake He cast a senko about 10
Yards and when I told
Him to start reeling in some line his response was ‘no daddy I need to let it drop to the bottom first....’ I couldn’t have been prouder - he actually listens to me occasionally!

Last pic is a bass I sight fished right off a bed at echo lake park. This guy really made me work for it and when he did finally strike I never would have felt the bite if I hadn’t watched him pick up my lure.

Still waiting for a real nice fish this season. By this time last year I had caught multiple 4 lb plus LMBs and this year biggest fish barely 3-3.5 lbs.
