Golden Eagle - HUGE STRIPERS!

What a GREAT day we had fishing for STRIPERS! We had a really nice catch with the pool winner at 43 lbs. and the rest of the fish were also huge. We fished local so there was plenty of fishing time and the fish bit pretty much all day with just a couple lulls where we had to ride to find the bait. We had one fish on a Swim Shad otherwise we were snagging live bunkers for bait.

Bring your spinning rods if you have them as they seemed to work best. We did miss quite a few fish today so just a reminder that once you feel a STRIPER pick your bait up, give it about 8 to 10 seconds before you try to set the hook. That gives them a chance to get the bait in their mouth and swallow it before you reel them in.
