Default Gambler Strikeout

Went out on the modified 10-10 Gambler trip. Where have all the tuna gone?
We started out stopping by the bluefin grounds for some jigging. No joy. stopped by a couple of pots for a few mahi. Headed out to the hundred square and then headed south from there. Chunked butters, sardines, and live squid all night. Massive schools of large aggressive squid all night. there were a couple of sword pups caught & released. Lots of blue sharks. a couple of small Makos came by to laugh at us at night. we hit the pots in the morning for more mahi. My catch 4 blue sharks, half a dozen mahi and a small ling. at least the blue dogs were big and even pretended to be tuna a couple of times. Good boat, good crew, bad fishing. next time maybe???
