i went out on the cong last nite and man i am glad i did. after the rains cleared out i put the old town in at 7:30pm and hit the north end of the lake. started out with small stuff first a crankbait and a blakemore roadrunner. found 4 nice crappies, a decent perch at 11" one rockbass and a friggin slime dart that tore the hell out of the body on the roadrunner had to replace that and back at it. the fish did not play to nice on the cotton cordell crankbait only got one rocky on that. then switched gears and went into nite mode the herring did not start the normal routine untill around 10:00 then the topwater action picked up. i got a waldo first that was 20" at around 10:30 and another one later that was 24". the action slowed for about and hour then it was game on the herring were splashing all around and you could hear that classic brick hitting the water sound all around me.. at 11:45 i hooked into a 20"hybrid that absolutely crushed my spittin immage. moved a little further on and hooked up with a 21"walleye.then got crushed again and the fish got my line under a rock and the line snapped

so long new lure thank god i had a backup lure ready to go tied that on and got one more hybrid at 19". the action slowed again around 1:15am i did get one small hybrid at 15" and two more smaller waldos then called it and went back at 2:30am a good nite on the big pond

all fish but one were released to fight another day.
