Default Re: Fishing boat missing off Barnegat

No news is bad news.

Someone was reporting, no USCG on it on a site.

EPIRB went off in middle of night. A mayday with no details. And wreckage found.

The EPIRB Or triangulation would give them the 42 mile indicia. Depending how easterly- 42 miles can put them in the H-A or B-A sea lanes too.

Fast sinkings are usually not a slow leak. Something , an event happened. Like struck by large commercial stuff. My guess. Not sure if we will ever know. Don't know if big commercial stuff have their AIS turned on or off off shore.

If they did, the time lines may overlap- AIS report and Mayday/EPIRB are on top of each other or very close.

It would be great if someone no one got hurt.
