Rookie DD Tog PB's!!!

I've been curious about these Tog for quite some time now as all my fishing buddies target them. Today was the day I finally got out! Hopped on the boat around 6:15AM and off to the grounds we went. The bite was scratchy so they say but we kept grinding and moving around trying to put a catch together. I give lots of credit to the Cap'n for moving around to try to get us on the meat. We had some great bites here and there but the chew never really got going for us unfortunately. The best bite we had was a little bit after noon. Some roasters and other assorted species starting showing up, and finally it happened! JDTuna got hammered on a Greenie and boy was this fish a BEAST! After a nice battle and a drag issue he gets the Dinosaur to the net! 12+ lb Tog easily! I was in awe of the size and strength of this bottom dweller. Soon after the mate gets Tuna mans PB Tog in the net I get absolutely hammered by a big Tog! These fish got some serious muscles man! Drags locked down on the Avet and the fish still manages to pull out some line! Holy crap! Why the hell did I wait so long to get on these Dinosaurs? After an intense battle the mate nets my fish! My hands are shaking and the adrenaline is pumping! I look down at the fish and I am pumped, YEA BUDDY! Another monster Tog landed off the same small piece as the first! It's a 12+lber no doubt!!! I don't even know what to say! What a day on the ocean!?!? We didn't limit out but hey that's fishin'!!! Monsters were caught and released to be caught again! I'm done for the day, LOLOLOLOL!!! Good times had by all ScowardNJ, Mikey Topaz, JDTuna, Jigman13 and Big FONZE!!! I think I'm hooked on this fishery after 1 trip!
