Got a later start on purpose on Saturday. Got to Atlantic Bait to learn a bit about bunker rods and spoons. Pete was awesome..I ended up buying it with him and he gave me tons of info. He spent a good 45 mins showing me everything I needed to know. We left Atlantic Highlands at around 10:45 and were trolling spoon by 11:00. Bam 5 mins in and first fish. It was a nice 35". Re-set spoon and bam... IT WAS HUGE (for us). 47" long. Biggest ever on my boat. We kept that and our limit. We are C & R rest of the year. Total for the day was 15 fish and the smallest was 35". It was great. Fish were shallow. Pete at Atlantic Bait knows his stuff. I can't recommend him highly enough!!
