Green trout
Plenty of healthy rainbows swimming around the north branch today, yet also some unhealthy ones.
I saw a few trout scattered around at areas that were far away from stocking points, so while I still saw the majority at the stocking points it seems trout have been moving around. Met a trout about to pass away in an inch of water, fins moving sluggishly and jaw opening and closing. Would soon to be bird food. Pic related: Another trout I saw under a bridge was swimming erratically. Also saw a decapitated one on the bank. Saw around 5 guys fishing under the bridges at the at&t stretch, while I didnt bother to spy on them I didnt see much success. Thats the bad news. Good news is that green trout still were in abundance. I nailed this Larry Trout first then proceeded to catch a couple Bronze Trout. I decided to skip rainbows entirely and hit the lamington for better holes. Walked downstream to the confluence and hit the PIT on the N/B, which ended up less successful as I imagined. Made it out with a lot of smallies however, most just out of the old damn on lamington. |
