Went out yesterday to check out a nearby lake I hadn't had a chance to fish yet. Had a nice cool, overcast, even foggy morning. Unfortunately it seemed to burn off and become bright and sunny right about the same time I got on the water. The launch was a challenge to say the least. Usually takes me 5min or less to load all the gear and launch. This trip it took 25mins and 3 trips back and fourth to the car........
So, needless to say I earned every fish I caught. Luckily the bass didn't seem to mind the blue skies and heat. Hooked up a few bucketmouths in the 17-18" range. Catch of the day was a surprise 20" smallie on a spinnerbait.

Spinnerbaits & swim baits did the damage.
The heat drove me off the lake after a couple hours but it was worth it. I'd definitely go back for another round but not unless I have someone to help me out, lol...........
Edit: No 10# bass were harmed in the making of this report........
