Default Snake eating a catfish

I've been meaning to post this for over a month now. A Friday night back in June I went out after work and as I'm looking into the water with my headlamp this funky commotion caught my eye. We watched the whole thing and it only took about 20-30 min for her to finish. Only fish that night was big rock bass jigging a swim bait.
Overall, action has been slow for me when I've got out the last month. Small smallies, and a 12-13" striper on a scatter rap by the QB. My gf has been doing great with sunnies on her new/old 3.8' Kencor Magnagla rod that her friend was kind enough to give her out of her grandpa's basement. She got a decent 12-13" largemouth on the 4th out of the Millstone. Rooster tails and 1/16 1/32 jigs/grubs.
Monday morning I got two thick little smallies on 3" Berkley Gulp minnow, smelt color. For smaller guys they were wide bodied & appeared to be eating really well. Nice little belly on one. Those baits look great and worked instantly, but man they are fragile. One fish and done. Other plastics did not produce that day. My buddy got a little guy on one of those preserved, packaged minnows too.
