I headed up to a section of river in Hunterdon County this morning to do some more fly fishing. The water was clear in some spots and a little cloudy in others. Cold too. Like, I was shivering cold. Which is great for trout in June.
Anyway, I ended up landing a really nice sized trout. It leapt into the air three times which was cool and fought like crazy. Come to realize when I netted it, it was foul hooked right in the side. How that happened is beyond me. I wasn't using a tandem rig, it was just one nymph.
