First 2017 Fluke trip - Shark River - So So
Expectations were high based on previous scouting trip. Those expectations got even higher when I landed my first 2017 keeper at the dock before anyone else arrived. Unfortunately the bite was off. I got my limit (3) but my 2 unnamed partners didn't.
Could have been a coupla' factors at play: - water was dirty from all of yesterday's rain - drift was real fast, outgoing water + W wind, fluke bites were 'one & done' - no 'come-on backs' - the pinhooker working the river over the last two weeks (500 pounds per day) clobbered them It was good to bounce the jigs again
