Tank Smallie, PB Pickerel 10/8

Went up to the shed yesterday morning to get few hours of fishing in. Hit the stear first only to find the gate to the launch chained up. I guess after last weekends incident they decided it was to low to keep open. After that we hit plan B, sure glad we did. Caught 6 smallies and 2 pickerel. Pops got the first fish, a good size pickerel. I followed it up with a new PB!! Didn't measure it but it was bigger than a lot of the pike I've caught. Fought great pulling drag and all.

Little while later and a change of location we came up to an exposed rock pile and I thought I snagged up on the rocks. That is until I saw a giant smallie go airborne! Got em in the net and saw a good 4-5 pound football!! Easily my biggest this year. Got a few more smallies over the next hour or so and called it a day. Great conditions and the fish were active.
