Hit a pocono lake today from 6am to 3pm. Topwater fishing was good early before the wind picked up. From 6am to 10am, I got 12 bass and 64 pickerel. Only two bass after that. With gusts over 20 and white caps, I switched over to a 6" steel leader and switched back and forth between a curly tail grub and #2 Panther Martin. Did well with the panfish getting bluegills, pumpkinseeds, yellow perch and black crappie. Pickerel loved it too as I picked off another 25. No big ones today. All bass under 14" and pickerel under 17". Lake was pretty much empty as I think the wind kept boats away. That's okay with me.
