Took a break from studying for finals to hit up a new stretch of the river yesterday and managed to catch a few Pike. Nothing of notable size, but I did manage to catch 3 around 18 inches. Even though they're not the biggest, they fought hard for their size!
I saw some BIG carp and one big pike sitting in the shallows but they took off as soon as they saw me
Looking forward to trying this section out again.
On my way home, I stopped at another one of my local PR spots and got a bit of a surprise with some great Crappie action. For about 15 minutes I was getting hit on every cast. The biggest one below measured out just under 12 inches.
