Third time out on this cold weekend on the hardwater. Bites have been pretty slow but managed some decent fish on Friday and Saturday. Ranging from 28-33. As always got a late start to the ice. Was on the ice a little after 2 and had a small pike around 18 before I even got all my tipups out. Nothing much was happening besides the occasional perch. Bigboy got a flag and it was spinning slow. Then the line started screaming, he set the hook and said it was a nicer fish. But before we knew it the fish spit the hook. Just as the sun was setting I get a flag get to it and set the hook. I start pulling it in and its just dead weight. Barley putting up a fight. Once it got to the hole it started running. Finally after a little while I was rewarded with a personal best 39 inch pike. Great weekend. FLAGG!!
