5" Vintage Sidewinder reel.....Nice!!!
This reel is an EXCELLENT 5 inch diameter, Brown "J. Gliebe" antique collectible fishing reel showing no damage, just some surface scratches.
There is a damaged screwhead on the backside of the reel. There is very little play to the shaft and the knobs which are a newer plastic style replacement, have some up and down play which can be minimized by adding a small washer under the screw heads.Gliebe was a Brooklyn NY tackle company operating from 1902 till 1960.
Reel works perfectly and I have used this one personally.

Very nice Condition!!! Only a damaged screwhead on the backside of the reel.

A blast to use and seen as an advantage by many. They just don't come along so often anymore as these probably date back to the 1950s-1960 but not 100% sure.
Its all set to display or fish this fall season.
