Default Frog gobbler

over the past few years lakes where I taught myself to 'frog' slop bass fish have been ruined by herbicide treatment weed kills. Really annoying, fishing still ok, but can't fish that style anymore at those places. Anyway I tried a new place and I think there's some hope for it!

The buzz frogs had the best strike rate but the fish kept missing the lure. I changed colors and finally a bucket mouth took the frog down deep! Not the 21" beast I've been after, but a nice solid 19.5". It turned out to be a slow day with another small 14" bass and a pickerel. The fish were definitely picky today, evidence of all the pickerel short strikes and lure following. Tried some different lures and tactics but couldn't really key in. When that big bass came charging in from 10 ft away and totally engulfed the lure I thought I was on to something, but oh well.
